What Were Looking For

Were seeking a Buy-Side Development Manager to help lead our acquisition engine from sourcing and assessing deals to integrating companies into our ecosystem. This role blends strategy, execution, and empathy: youll identify high-potential ventures, lead smart deal structures, and ensure seamless transitions post-acquisition. If you thrive in unstructured environments, love building from scratch, and get energy from both analysis and relationships, this is for you. You wont love this role if you:

Need strict structure, process, or step-by-step direction. View acquisitions only as financial transactions rather than growth partnerships. Feel uncomfortable with ambiguity, pivots, or wearing multiple hats.

What Success Looks Like

Outcome 1 (First 14 Days):

+ Get grounded in the business and start building momentum. Define acquisition targets and priority criteria. Meet with brokers, sellers, and other market contacts to begin sourcing opportunities. Establish a simple but clear system for tracking and reporting pipeline data including deal stages, meetings, and key metrics.

Outcome 2 (First 30 Days):

+ Move from exploration to action. Build early momentum by issuing the first

Letters of Intent (LOIs)

and initiating preliminary

due diligence

on selected targets. Continue refining your pipeline and reporting cadence to ensure leadership visibility into all active and potential deals.

Outcome 3 (60 Days and Beyond):

+ Deliver results and lay the foundation for repeatable success.

Close the first acquisition

, managing the process end-to-end from negotiation through integration planning. Begin developing scalable frameworks and best practices that can be applied to future deals across industries.

Key Responsibilities

Run multiple pipelines/ close multiple deals.

We are looking for multiple acquisitions across different industries (unlikely to have more than 1 of the same deal).

Opportunity Identification:

Source and evaluate companies aligned with our growth strategy and portfolio vision.

Deal Assessment:

Build and interpret financial and strategic models to determine fit, value, and risk.

Due Diligence:

Lead diligence across finance, legal, operations, and product functions.

Deal Execution:

Partner with leadership to structure, negotiate, and finalize acquisitions or strategic partnerships.

Integration Planning:

Design and manage integration roadmaps, ensuring operational and cultural alignment.

Continuous Improvement:

Capture insights and refine our acquisition and integration playbooks for scale.

What You Bring

2-5 years of experience in acquisitions, corporate development, venture capital, or strategy consulting. Strong strategic and analytical thinking; you can connect market, financial, and operational dots. Relationship-builder with high emotional intelligence; owners trust you quickly. Ownership mindset - you thrive in ambiguity and drive forward without waiting for instruction. Comfortable making decisions with incomplete data and balancing intuition with analytics. Systems thinker - can see how teams, tools, and operations interconnect across ventures. Curious, adaptable, and energized by learning new industries, technologies, and business models. Excellent communicator who can simplify complex ideas and influence without authority.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong due diligence, financial modeling skills Experience managing acquisitions or partnerships across multiple industries, not just one vertical. Proven track record of structuring and executing deals from sourcing to integration. Background in private equity, investment banking, or holding company environments. Familiarity with AI-driven analysis or automation tools used in deal evaluation or integration. Exposure to post-merger integration or change management initiatives.

Location

Flexible | US or Global (remote-friendly)

Compensation Range

Full time contract with a commission-structure tied to completed acquisitions. Compensation will depend on experience, location, and deal volume, with potential for equity or long-term incentives after full-time conversion.
