We are looking for a driven and technically sound Sales & Marketing Executive with a background in
Polymer Engineering
and 2 to 5 years of experience in the
automotive plastics
industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling B2B client relationships, generating new leads, and promoting technically advanced plastic solutions for automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow customer accounts in the automotive sector, including OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Identify new business opportunities for plastic components used in interiors, exteriors, and under-the-hood applications.
Provide technical consultation to clients regarding polymer grades, part design feasibility, and application suitability.
Coordinate with production and design teams for customized project requirements and prototyping.
Prepare and deliver technical-commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Ensure timely collections and follow-up on receivables.
Maintain an updated knowledge of automotive plastic trends, materials, and regulatory standards.
Conduct market analysis and prepare sales forecasts and MIS reports.
Represent the company at exhibitions, client meetings, and technical discussions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of polymer (e.g., ABS, PP, PA, PC, TPE, PBT, etc.) and their automotive applications.
Understanding of injection molding, extrusion, and secondary operations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
CRM and ERP tool proficiency.
Ability to work independently and travel as required.
Eligibility & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Polymer Engineering
(B.E./B.Tech), MTech /M.Sc. /B.Sc. in Plastics Engineering or Polymers Science
MBA in Marketing (preferred but not mandatory).
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in sales or business development in the automotive plastics or polymer industry.
Willingness to travel across regions as per business needs.
Good command over English and regional/local language.
Preferred Candidates:
Hands-on experience dealing with automotive OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers.
Exposure to plastic raw materials and compounding.
Candidates with a strong technical-sales blend and customer handling skills.
