As a Testing Manager in the Firmwide Core Deposit Platform (FCDP) product, you will partner with the product teams to develop, customize and drive User Acceptance Test strategy that will deliver products that meet customer expectations and result in realizing the planned business value. The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team is focused on end to end testing to support the development of innovative banking offerings that transform the customer experiences, simplifying the ways we do business, and tirelessly drive toward product excellence.

We are seeking a highly motivated UAT manager to play an active role in developing overall test strategy and execution of E2E testing against our roadmap. This role will work with cross-disciplinary teams including product, design, technology and other delivery teams to develop robust test strategies and drive test planning, execution, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will be passionate about disciplined, comprehensive test execution in an Agile framework, with a strong desire to deliver impactful user experiences to our customers by managing a large team of testers and partnering with product owners to drive test strategy and execution across large, highly visible initiatives. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing the User Acceptance Testing practice for a significant product/program/project portfolio
  • Driving the overarching strategy and planning through execution of application testing, working with process owners, product managers, functional areas, design teams and development
  • Defining complex test strategies involving internal Chase applications, 3rd party vendor applications, as well as desktop and/or mobile applications
  • Managing process improvement and analysis across large, complex, technology-dependent programs and projects that cut across business functional areas
  • Partnering with IT, QA and UAT leadership across all phases of the testing lifecycle
  • Driving root cause analysis around defects to drive identification of break in process and ongoing improvements
  • Developing and maintaining standards and processes; managing quality improvement activities
  • Creating common business specific quality measurement frameworks and tracking improvement against these metrics
  • Facilitating cross-LOB process improvement discussions with key stakeholders at various level of the organization to drive identified issues to resolution
  • Establishing, maintaining and managing strategic Business and IT relationships
  • Ownership of controls across the UAT process, ensuring minimized risk to the firm and mitigation of issues impacting the customer experience.
  • Driving adoption of continuous improvement by leveraging CMM, Six Sigma or other methodologies. Qualifications
Qualifications:
You are a self-starter with in-depth, hands-on experience driving end to end testing processes, with experience in testing frameworks across industries that directly relate to banking or financial services being preferred. You are also an experienced manager of managers with a passion in talent and career management. Other attributes you will bring to the table:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience/exposure in a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or Quality Assurance leadership and people management role
  • Direct people management experience of exempt-level population, including coaching & development, prioritization, managing capacity, and giving feedback
  • Able to successfully multi-task across tactical and strategic initiatives
  • High degree of initiative and autonomy but must be able to function successfully as part of a team (in person and virtual)
  • Innovative and creative thinker; able to generate new ideas; forward-thinker; thought-leader
  • Experience working with a blended model of onshore and offshore resources
  • Strong JIRA experience - you know how to navigate JIRA, create issues, and have an understanding of more advanced capabilities such as creating dashboards and complex queries using JQL, and you can direct your teams in how to use them
  • A strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices as they relate to the Product Development Life Cycle
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with Agile project methodologies
  • Written and verbal communication skills - able to present status, facts, thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise, convincing and organized manner
  • Flexibility and adaptability - able to quickly and smoothly change direction based upon stakeholder or management direction, while remaining extremely organized and following tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field of study, or equivalent relevant experience
