Position Summary:
We are seeking a U.S. Banks Business Manager AVP to support the Head of U.S. Banks Mumbai as well as the US based Business Management team. The ideal candidate embodies the firm's core values, is team oriented, will collaborate across the organization, and leads with excellence and innovation. The candidate brings knowledge of operational processes and capabilities, has experience in managing large scale initiatives with multiple stakeholders and can ensure the team progresses towards objectives and deliverables. This individual will primarily execute business management functions for the local Mumbai U.S. Banks teams. In addition, they will provide business management support for the broader U.S. Banks teams, working closely with their counterparts in New York. U.S. Banks Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the set-up, expansion, and management of the function, including recruiting, training, and onboarding of new staff.
Work closely with the Head of India US Banks to -
Plan and execute business strategies along with Bank's COO team in US
Develop, maintain and track KPIs, policies, procedures, and guidelines governing the India Banks and its operations in alignment with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Facilitate recruitment of employees and interns. Maintain appropriate staffing levels (recruiting, hiring, reassigning at peak times, etc.).
Liaise with Finance, IT, HR, Corporate Services, Global COO teams, and WM India team to run the daily tasks
Oversee strategic space management planning, budget tracking, and other logistical activities
Liaise and manage senior management stakeholders, not limited to visits including key stakeholder introductions, meetings, and programming.
Ensure staff receive appropriate training & development, assist in developing training plans & provide coaching where necessary.
Create decks and presentations, and prepare management information for senior management
Work with teams on Business Continuity Plans, GOC documentation etc.
Support HR functions, including onboarding, event planning and workplace planning/business continuity planning
Process and submit expense reports and maintaining detailed records for audit purposes
Assist in event planning, including leadership staff meetings, speaker series, offsites, town halls, volunteer activities and social engagements
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage and track vendor task order workflow - initiation to execution
Coordinate onboarding and off boarding efforts for U.S. Banks vendor staffing
Request, approve, and track vendor expense invoices
Monthly budget reporting inclusive of actuals and forecasting
Assist in WM exercises (e.g., vendor furlough, rotational analyst), support ad hoc analytics and reporting
Liaise with key business partners - BU COOs, Finance, Vendor Management, Human Resources, Legal, Product and Support teams
Skills required
6+ years of professional experience
Professional experience in the financial services industry, Wealth Management, or management consulting a plus
Bachelor's degree in business preferred, advanced degree a plus
Expertise in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint). Strong Excel skills for data analysis and to prepare meaningful reports/summaries from large data sets
Experience in business administration, including consultant and employee onboarding, and vendor management
Experience in financials and budget management for large and complex organizations with proven ability to track expenses against budget
Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork and influence skills
Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams.
