Job Purpose
The Business Manager-Cement Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding dealer and institutional networks, and strengthening JBS's market presence in the assigned territory. The role focuses on achieving volume and value targets through effective channel management, market development, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual cement sales targets for the assigned territory.
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and brand penetration.
Identify and onboard new dealers, sub-dealers, and institutional customers.
Manage key accounts, including infrastructure projects, builders, and contractors.
Channel & Dealer Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and trade partners.
Ensure effective execution of dealer incentive schemes, loyalty programs, and promotional activities.
Monitor dealer stock levels, secondary sales, and market hygiene.
Address dealer grievances and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking
Track competitor pricing, schemes, and market activities.
Provide regular market feedback on pricing, demand trends, and customer preferences.
Recommend corrective actions to improve competitiveness and sales performance.
Team Management
Lead, motivate, and guide the sales team (Sales Officers / Executives).
Set individual targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews.
Ensure regular training and development of the sales team.
Operations & Coordination
Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and accounts teams to ensure timely dispatches and collections.
Monitor outstanding payments and ensure adherence to credit policies.
Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and MIS as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in cement or building materials sales.
Strong understanding of trade sales, institutional sales, and dealer management.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
