The Lab provides strategic DEI guidance to the different businesses and facilitate enhanced internal collaborations and communication via a DEI council, quarterly DEI updates, DEI scorecards of the businesses, and experiments to improve representation, equity and inclusion of our cohorts in focus. Externally, the Lab participates in projects that aim to create a wider DEI ecosystem in corporate India, and this includes activities such as hosting public events at Godrej headquarters, partnering with universities, think tanks and industry bodies on research projects.About the roleYou will lead the Business Impact vertical of the Godrej DEI Lab, which works alongside the Research and Media vertical towards making the Godrej Industries Group and the world at large more inclusive. As a subject-matter expert on DEI for leaders and DEI teams across the group, you will serve as an advisor, advocate, and a catalyst for change. You will contribute towards key initiatives to ensure that our workforce is representative of the diverse communities and customers we serve.What impact will you create?You will lead the Business Impact vertical of the DEI Lab, designing and implementing initiatives centrally and partnering with different group businesses. Your work will encompass the following pillars -

  • Data & Analytics: Track and report progress on key DEI metrics through the DEI Scorecard; Analyse data to equip business teams with data-informed insights that can advance their progress
  • Governance: Run the DEI Council through quarterly review meetings, spotlights of internal and external case studies and deep dives for problem solving
  • POSH: Strengthen IC awareness and sensitise the organisation through regular training; Strengthen reporting & case management systems
  • Policies: Partner with the Strategic Rewards team to strengthen existing policies and build new ones for an equitable culture
  • Projects: Build / participate in experiments on data, processes, systems & governance that can lead to increase in representation and better inclusion of cohorts in focus
  • Thought leadership: In partnership with the Research and Media vertical of the DEI Lab, build a strong understanding of local and global trends on DEI and be a critical thought leader, integral to driving cultural change at the group.
Who are we looking for?EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • A masters degree, preferably in business administration
  • Corporate experience of 8 10 years with 2+ years in DEI
FUNCTIONAL AND LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIESThis is a data-driven role. Your primary expertise should be related to working with data and drawing meaningful insights from data to create strategy and operationalize solutions. You should be fully familiar with DEI policies and the overall DEI landscape. The role also calls for exceptional stakeholder management. We are looking for someone with -
  • Ability to use tools like Excel, PowerBi and other data visualisation software
  • Knowledge of DEI principles, policies, and practices
  • Ability to adapt DEI strategy to business realities and created targeted impact
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • High degree of emotional and social awareness
  • Ability to lead and engage people both with and without formal authority.
