Job Description

The Business Head - Mobile & Tablets Category will lead the complete business operations for the Mobile & Tablets vertical across myG. This role demands strong commercial acumen, strategic leadership, and deep industry relationships. The candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market share expansion (target: 50% Kerala market share immediately), profitability improvement, and delivering a seamless customer and brand experience.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute business strategies to drive sales and growth of the

Mobile & Tablets

category across all myG stores. Work closely with Area Sales Managers and Team Leads to ensure effective execution of sales plans at the regional and store level. Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to consistently achieve sales targets and operational excellence. Drive market share growth, pricing strategy, promotions, and product positioning across locations. Build and maintain strong relationships with mobile and tablet brands, OEMs, and key partners. Coordinate brand promotions, negotiate commercial terms, and collaborate on marketing initiatives. Oversee recruitment, deployment, training, and retention of Brand Promoters for the Mobile & Tablets category. Ensure Brand Promoters are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with brand and company standards. Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and take corrective actions to improve outcomes. Prepare and present regular performance reports to the

General Manager - Sales

, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities. Ensure a seamless customer experience and strong brand representation across all stores.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field 10-15 years of mobile/tablet industry experience, preferably retail Strong OEM relationship management background Experience leading multi-location sales operations Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion. Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for brand and partner management. Experience in managing Brand Promoter strategies, including hiring and performance management. Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to translate data into action. In-depth knowledge of the

mobile & tablet market

, brands, competition, and industry trends.
