Responsibilities
Maximize sales and profitability through meeting or exceeding sales volume and gross margin objectives, while managing the business through planning and optimal utilization of financial and human resources.
Provide input and drive toward the strategic intent and aid in the creation of financial objectives and operating plans. Member of Asia Pacific Management Team responsible for execution of the business strategy for the region.
Cultivate a high performing team through selection, development, motivation and evaluation of sales, technical support and sales service professionals. Provide leadership and performance feedback and facilitate the creation of career paths and training plans.
Maintain a high performing, engaged team through effective hiring, talent development and retention, with a focus on creating opportunities to ensure continuous development focused on skills needed for the future.
Assess customer needs within each market segment and appropriately direct Chem-Trend's resources (i.e., laboratories, quality control, manufacturing, sales, customer service, technical service) to effectively and efficiently meet or exceed customer demands on a daily basis.
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, in conjunction with Marketing and Technology to determine growth potential and fit for the business segment. Develop strategic plans to pursue new business.
Embrace a leadership role in the areas of Entrepreneurialism, Professionalism and Safety; an ambassador of the Chem-Trend business model, Fundamentals and the Freudenberg Guiding Principles.
Ensure the effective coordination of the daily operations within CTIND to achieve company targets by setting annual performance objectives for each department. Review the performance of all direct reports to ensure the accomplishment of approved objectives, plans and strategies.
Approve the negotiation and execution of all distributor and agency agreements.
Maintain relationships with key accounts and suppliers, industry and trade associations, representatives of government, public service organizations, banking institutions, and legal counsel as necessary in the management of the company, engage in outside activities consistent with the company's responsibilities to community and industry.
Work with the finance department to deliver accurate, timely budgets and forecasts, as well as set internal control policies and procedures that impact numerous departments to reduce business risk.
Direct the disposition of all legal matters affecting CTIND.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience in the Chemical Industry strongly preferred
Experience working in large multi-national organizations and working in matrix environment
10+ years of experience in a leadership role & managing manager level employees
15+ years of experience in a sales management role
Experience with Indian laws and financial reporting practices preferred
