Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development professional to drive growth in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) renewable energy segment. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, acquiring and managing corporate clients, enabling power trading partnerships, and closing large-scale renewable energy deals. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding Avaada's C&I portfolio through strategic client engagement and market-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy:
Develop and execute a robust sales strategy aligned with the overall Corporate C&I business objectives.
Client Acquisition:
Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with potential corporate clients; understand their energy requirements and sustainability goals.
Power Trading:
Engage with power developers and onboard them under Avaada's portfolio to enable power trading through bilateral and collective markets.
Pitching & Presentations:
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations highlighting Avaada's renewable energy solutions and value proposition.
Negotiation & Deal Closure:
Lead commercial negotiations and successfully close mutually beneficial long-term agreements.
Market Analysis:
Track industry trends, regulatory developments, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
Partnerships & Collaboration:
Work closely with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to design comprehensive, client-centric solutions.
Reporting & Forecasting:
Maintain accurate and timely reports on sales performance, contracted capacities, and future business forecasts.
Customer Lifecycle Management:
Ensure excellent pre-sales, on-sales, and post-sales support to enhance customer experience and drive long-term retention.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Energy, or a related field.
Proven experience in C&I sales, power trading, open access, or renewable energy business development.
Strong understanding of corporate power procurement, bilateral/collective markets, and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated track record in client acquisition, deal structuring, and contract closures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
Strategic thinker with sound commercial judgment and problem-solving ability.
Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
