Role Purpose:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for progressing Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) driving engagement for first meetings or sponsored events around a topic of interest by nurturing prospects through emails, LinkedIn outreach, phone calls, leveraging Sandler principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage MQLs via phone, email, and social channels to uncover pain points and qualify interest.
Apply Sandler questioning techniques (focus on asking insightful, open-ended questions to uncover a prospect's real needs, pain points, and motivations, rather than just pitching) to identify needs and buying signals.
Schedule first meetings or secure event attendance with decision-makers.
Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on conversion metrics.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize lead handoff and feedback loops.
Required Skills & Experience:
1-2 years in inside sales, lead generation, or BDR roles.
Strong communication and active listening skills.
Familiarity with B2B sales cycles and CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot).
Proven ability to meet or exceed KPIs for meetings booked and event attendance.
Performance Metrics:
MQL-to-SQL conversion rate (20-30%).
Meetings booked per month (3-5).
Event attendance confirmations (3-5 per event).
