The Business Development Officer plays a key role in enhancing the institution's visibility, driving student admissions, and supporting overall organizational growth. This position involves developing and executing strategic marketing and business development initiatives, managing multi-channel outreach, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven ability to meet enrollment and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with institutional goals.
Identify growth opportunities, define market positioning, and strengthen brand presence.
2. Campaign Management
Plan, execute, and monitor integrated marketing campaigns across digital platforms, social media, print media, and events.
Maintain consistent brand messaging and ensure impactful campaign execution.
3. Content & Communication
Oversee the creation of engaging marketing materials such as brochures, website content, blogs, and social media posts.
Ensure all communication aligns with the institution's brand voice and resonates with the target audience.
4. Market Research & Insights
Conduct competitor benchmarking and analyze market trends to understand student behavior and preferences.
Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and enhance campaign performance.
5. Lead Generation & Conversion
Develop innovative lead-generation strategies to boost inquiries and conversions.
Support and strengthen the admissions pipeline through effective lead nurturing.
6. Budget & Performance Management
Manage the marketing budget to ensure optimal ROI.
Track KPIs, prepare performance reports, and recommend improvements for continuous growth.
7. Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, alumni, consultants, and external partners.
Collaborate with academic and sales teams to align marketing and business development efforts.
8. Team Leadership
Guide and mentor junior marketing team members, fostering creativity, accountability, and high performance.
Ensure smooth coordination within the team and across departments.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
3-6 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the education or EdTech sector.
Proven track record of achieving sales and enrollment targets.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical abilities with experience in reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel for marketing and business expansion activities.
