Design and present tailored, integrated smart home solutions that address specific client requirements.
Provide compelling product demonstrations in an experience center or client setting, effectively explaining the benefits of smart technology.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, and builders to drive business and create new opportunities.
Sales and business development:
Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, market research, and leveraging existing professional connections.
Create and present proposals and cost calculations for customized automation solutions.
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and achieve or exceed sales targets.
Use a CRM system to maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions.
Technical and project management:
Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, including addressing client queries and assisting with troubleshooting.
Coordinate with technical and installation teams to ensure seamless system integration and successful project delivery.
Act as a liaison between clients and technical teams, translating complex client needs into actionable technical specifications.
Oversee projects from conception through installation, ensuring client expectations are met.
Deliver post-sales support and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Market awareness:
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, technologies, and competitive offerings in the smart home market.
Educate clients on new technologies, product enhancements, and emerging market developments.
Qualifications and skills
Technical expertise:
Strong technical knowledge of home automation systems, IoT products, and communication protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, KNX).
Experience with popular home automation ecosystems and platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit.
Understanding of home networking concepts and basic electrical systems.
A degree or diploma in a related field like Electronics, IT, or Electrical Engineering is often preferred.
Interpersonal and sales skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients.
