Role Overview
The
Business Development Manager - Schools
will be responsible for expanding GetLitt's footprint across schools and educational institutions. The role requires someone who understands the education ecosystem, has established relationships with school management and decision-makers, and can independently drive partnerships from lead generation to contract closure.
You will play a key role in positioning GetLitt as the preferred reading and literacy partner for schools -- through both direct engagement and strategic collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Outreach
Identify and reach out to schools, education groups, and learning networks that align with GetLitt's offerings.
Build a strong pipeline through personal networks, referrals, and institutional partnerships.
Represent GetLitt at education fairs, conferences, and literacy events.
2. Sales & Partnerships
Conduct product presentations and demos for school management and teachers.
Understand school requirements and customize proposals to address literacy and reading engagement goals.
Negotiate commercial terms and close partnerships for annual and multi-year programs.
3. Account Management & Retention
Maintain long-term relationships with partner schools and ensure smooth implementation of programs.
Coordinate with internal teams (content, tech, operations) to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
Track outcomes and renew contracts through measurable literacy and engagement improvements.
4. Strategic Growth
Build partnerships with educational trusts, CSR initiatives, and NGOs focused on reading and literacy.
Contribute insights on product-market fit and potential new offerings for the school segment.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of experience
in
school partnerships, institutional sales, or educational business development.
Established network of contacts within private schools, educational chains, or literacy-focused organizations.
Proven track record of managing B2B or institutional sales cycles from outreach to closure.
Strong presentation and communication skills -- comfortable pitching to principals, school owners, and educators.
Ability to work independently, set targets, and manage multiple leads simultaneously.
Passion for education, reading, and literacy development is a strong plus.

Pay: ₹540,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
