Role Objective



We are looking for a strategic, execution-oriented Business Development Manager who will drive revenue growth, brand expansion, and operational alignment across online portals, offline markets, exhibitions, and internal teams.

This role focuses on scaling POMCHA into a structured, target-driven, high-value ethnic brand through data-based planning, strong negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities



Online Business Development & Portal Management Identify, onboard, and scale new online sales channels:


Marketplaces

B2B portals

International platforms (where applicable)

Manage commercial terms, commissions, and agreements

Monitor portal-wise performance, margins, and growth

Coordinate listings, pricing, stock flow, and promotions with internal teams

Offline Business Development & Market Expansion Develop offline sales channels:


Multi-brand stores

Distributors

Wholesale buyers

Conduct business meetings with:

Buyers

Retailers

Channel partners

Build and maintain long-term business relationships

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and order volumes

Exhibitions, Events & Sales Planning Plan and execute exhibitions, fairs, and pop-ups:


Product selection

Pricing strategy

Display & assortment planning

Set sales targets for exhibitions and events

Analyze post-event sales data and ROI

Coordinate logistics, inventory, and manpower planning

Sales Management & Revenue Growth Plan monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets


Track sales across:

Online portals

Offline channels

Exhibitions

Monitor order flow, fulfilment, and collections

Identify growth opportunities and corrective actions

Product Costing & Profitability Analysis Conduct detailed product cost studies:


Fabric

Embroidery

Production

Packaging

Logistics

Analyze margins portal-wise and channel-wise

Recommend pricing strategies to improve profitability

Control discounting while protecting brand value

Data Analysis & Business Reporting Analyze sales data, sell-through, and inventory movement


Track KPIs

:

? Revenue

? Margins

? Channel performance

? ROI on campaigns and exhibitions

? Prepare MIS reports for management

? Use insights to build future business strategies

Team Coordination & Management Coordinate and align teams:

Performance Marketing & Growth Strategy Coordinate with performance marketing team:

u Evaluate campaign ROI and optimize budgets

Business Planning & Target Setting Prepare short-term and long-term business plans


Set realistic yet ambitious targets

Create launch, sale, and growth roadmaps

Support founder in strategic decision-making

Communication & Professional Handling Handle official emails and business communication


Prepare proposals, presentations, and follow-ups

Represent the brand in meetings, exhibitions, and negotiations

Maintain a professional, premium brand image at all times

Skills & Requirements Must-Have Skills Strong experience in fashion / ethnic / handicraft business development

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Strong understanding of e-commerce + offline markets

Data-driven decision-making ability

Team coordination and leadership skills

Financial understanding of costing, margins, and profitability

Preferred Skills Experience with marketplaces like Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, Amazon, etc.

Exposure to international buyers and exhibitions

Advanced Excel & MIS reporting skills

Understanding of branding and premium positioning
