Conduct market research to identify potential clients and target industries in the field of traffic engineering and transport planning in the West part of India.
Build and maintain a strong network (liaison) of business contacts through active prospecting and relationship building both in Govt/PWD and private sectors related to traffic engineering and transport/mobility services.
Present and promote our products/services to potential clients, demonstrating how they can address
the client's specific requirements.
Engage with prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and business challenges.
Responsible in monitoring tenders published - manual/e tender through various channels to identify and short list for submission with their requirements.
Report to Director - business Development on regular basis
Negotiate and close deals, ensuring successful contract signing and timely onboarding of new clients.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and support.
Generate new business leads and opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals
Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and results using CRM - Zoho Projects software.
Requirements:
Bachelor's/master's degree in civil engineering, business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role, preferably in the Transportation sector or Retd PWD/Govt Officers who can take initiate in tapping sales from transportation sector.
Strong understanding of the Indian market - Govt and private.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Contacts with clients and ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adequate proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Flexibility to travel within India as and when required.
Experience is in the traffic-related field.
5-10 years' prior industry related business development experience
