Educational Qualification and Experience:
Postgraduate degree in
Social Sciences, Rural Development, or MBA
in a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years
of experience in business development, preferably in NGO/development sectors.
Excellent
writing and communication skills
in both
English and Hindi

Strong command of
MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
.
Candidates from reputed rural institutes may be considered even with limited experience.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning, Implementation & Oversight
Guide and support the strategic implementation of field-level programs across focus areas.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure that all projects adhere to internal quality benchmarks and donor-specific guidelines.
Conduct regular field visits, quality audits, and team reviews to ensure high-impact implementation.
Support the standardization of project tools, templates, and monitoring frameworks.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Act as a liaison with stakeholders across National, State, and District levels.
Represent DRES in external meetings, workshops, CSR discussions, and consultations.
Facilitate strong coordination with government departments, CSR donors, INGOs, and local partners.
Ensure timely sharing of updates, reports, and documentation with all stakeholders.
4. Proposal Development & Fundraising
Lead the preparation of innovative and fundable proposals, concept notes, EOIs, and tenders.
Develop budgets, log frames, results matrices, and supporting documents in line with donor requirements.
Identify and pursue funding opportunities from CSR initiatives, philanthropic foundations, and development agencies.
Maintain a strong proposal pipeline and repository of technical documents.
5. Business Strategy & Growth
Create and execute business development strategies that support the organization's expansion.
Identify new sectors, geographies, and themes aligned with DRES's vision.
Build scalable, sustainable, and impactful program models for replication and growth.
Develop pricing and financial strategies for long-term organizational sustainability.
6. Partnerships & Alliances
Forge strategic partnerships with corporates, funding agencies, and nonprofit networks.
Negotiate and finalize MoUs, grant agreements, and partnership contracts.
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with donors and institutional funders.
Explore opportunities for joint ventures, consortiums, and collaborations.
Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports for donors and leadership.
Document success stories, field experiences, and impact case studies for external and internal use.
Lead donor reporting and ensure compliance with timelines and expectations.
Support development of training modules, toolkits, and manuals when required.
Utilize data insights, M&E findings, and feedback loops to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
Adapt business development approaches based on donor priorities and sector trends.
Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence in program delivery.
Offer technical direction and ensure effective rollout of project activities in alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with project teams to develop work plans, timelines, and targets.
Monitor day-to-day progress and intervene where course corrections are needed.
