Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the IT sector. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to identify new markets, attract clients, and expand our market presence.
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold outreach, and attending industry events and conferences.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Pitching & Negotiation: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, negotiating contract terms to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and close deals.
Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze sales metrics, track pipeline progress using CRM software, and provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and delivery teams, to align strategies and ensure seamless solution delivery tailored to client needs.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience: Proven working experience of 3-5+ years as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a relevant role within the IT industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT services and solutions. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at various levels.
Proactive, self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and attend industry events as required.
