Role Overview:
We are seeking a
Business Development Manager
to spearhead our
Third-Party Manufacturing (3P) Business
. This role involves building a strong pipeline of potential brands, engaging in meaningful conversations about their manufacturing requirements, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will act as the face of Pankajakasthuri in the 3P manufacturing space, driving both
relationship-building (farming)
and
new client acquisition (hunting)
.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and build a robust pipeline of potential brands looking for third-party manufacturing in Ayurvedic products (Therapeutic/ Supplements/ Personal Care/Pet Care).
Initiate and nurture strong business relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders in companies seeking 3PM.
Understand client requirements, provide solutions, and effectively pitch Pankajakasthuri's 3P manufacturing capabilities.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and other commercial terms to close profitable deals.
Work closely with internal teams (R&D, Production, Quality Assurance) to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of 3P projects.
Keep up with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to stay ahead in the market.
Achieve business growth targets by driving sales and partnerships in the 3P manufacturing segment.
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or contract manufacturing in the
Pharmaceutical, Ayurvedic, FMCG, FSSAI, Extracts or Herbal ingredients industry
.
Strong network and connections within the above-mentioned sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to independently drive sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure.
Knowledge of WHO-GMP and Pharma/ FSSAI/Ayurvedic product regulations is a plus.
Willingness to travel as needed for business development.
