Role Overview:



We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth in our CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) and CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and executing strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:



New Business Development:




Identify, target, and onboard prospective clients across allopathic, herbal, and nutraceutical contract manufacturing segments. Develop strategic partnerships and expand market presence through systematic client acquisition.

Lead Generation & Qualification:




Generate qualified leads through multi-channel approach including digital platforms, industry exhibitions, professional networks and CRM databases. Maintain robust lead pipeline with conversion tracking including support on collections.

Account Management & Client Relationship Management/Retention:




Cultivate long-term client relationships, reactivate dormant accounts, and drive repeat business through proactive engagement. Ensure high client satisfaction and account growth through strategic relationship building.

Contract Negotiations & Deal Closure:




Lead commercial negotiations on pricing structures, contract terms, and product specifications while optimizing profitability margins. Ensure win-win agreements that maintain client satisfaction and business sustainability.

Market & Competitive Analysis:




Conduct comprehensive market research, track industry trends, and analyze competitor strategies. Provide actionable insights to inform business development initiatives and identify emerging opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:




Coordinate with production, logistics, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate effective communication between client requirements and internal capabilities.

Strategic Planning & Performance Management:




Contribute to sales forecasting, budgeting, and execution of marketing initiatives to drive business objectives.

Preferred Candidate Profile:




Proven experience in business development, preferably in CMO/CDMO or contract manufacturing for allopathic, herbal and nutraceutical products. Good understanding of domestic market trends and sales channels in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (B.Pharma) or any equivalent graduate with relevant experience. Excellent communication, quick learner, and collaborative team player. Strong negotiation, presentation, and client management abilities. Willingness to travel as needed; knowledge of industry trends preferred. Highly organized with attention to detail and commitment follow-through. High initiative, self-motivation, and energy to work under deadlines. * Having a growth mindset and ability to drive business independently with strong negotiation and sales skills.
