The BDM will be responsible for building and scaling B2B & B2C revenue of our upcycled lifestyle and gifting products. The role focuses on identifying the right markets, building long-term buyer relationships and converting our circular production capacity into predictable and scalable demand. This role is critical to ensuring that our women-led production centres remain commercially viable, fully utilised, and aligned with market needs.
Responsibilities
Identify and prioritise B2B & B2C customer segments such as corporate gifting, lifestyle and upcycling brands, hospitality, institutions, export buyers
Develop a clear sales strategy aligned to production capacity and category-wise centre specialisation
Build and manage a qualified pipeline of leads with defined timelines and expected order values
Own end-to-end client engagement through prospecting, pitching, sampling coordination, negotiation, and order closure
Position our enterprise as a reliable upcycling partner, managing expectations around materials, timelines, and scalability
Act as the bridge between sales, production managers, and centre teams, and work closely with the operations team to convert buyer requirements into feasible products
Communicate buyer commitments clearly to operations and monitor progress against timelines, while flagging risks and proposing solutions
Build revenue forecasts by client, category, and centre
Maintain a clean CRM or sales tracking mechanism and submit regular MIS reports
Provide on-ground market insights to help refine product strategy, and identify opportunities to anchor clients, long-term contracts, and category scaling
Support leadership in building partnerships and future channel strategies
Required Skills
Minimum 5 years in B2B sales or business development in textiles, lifestyle brands, or allied manufacturing sectors
Strong understanding of sampling cycles, production realities, and bulk order economics
Ability to sell value and reliability, not just price
Experience dealing with procurement heads, CSR teams, institutional buyers, and brand owners
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of targets
