Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire Business Development Manager - Projects for a leading transport and logistics company in Mumbai Purpose of the position Support function to General Manager - BD - Projects Market Intelligence and research of business opportunities Develop business with client and achieve the monthly/ annual targets on account profit and volumes. Key Tasks Sales Administration Active participation in development of project forwarding business. Analyze the techno-commercial requirements of RFQs and create the right solutions with the help of internal / external stake holders. Obtain necessary approval as per procedure on the various legal/ commercial/ risk aspects. Quote /negotiate and close sales proposals with clients, to achieve the targets. Report Sales activity into the Sales force. Maintain Sales Visit Plan.Business Development Giving solution for Project cargo including Heavy-Lift, ODC and OWC cargo movement and storage on door to door basis by Ship / Air /Road / River / Barge / Rail or Multimodal and Warehousing for industry vertical such as oil and gas, power, infrastructure, refinery, manufacturing, used equipment movement. Create new accounts, especially turnkey and large projects. Meet prospective customers basis the sales leads generated. Create brand awareness. Build strategic and long-term relationship with clients. Identify new business opportunities. Develop strategies and new ways to reach existing market and exploit the opportunities to generate more revenue. Decision Making Authority Decision authority as delegated by the Head - Projects, Oil & Gas, in accordance regulations Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working Functional know-how in air / sea / logistics / SCM Marketing & Sales Management know-how Industry Expertise in Oil & Gas - upstream / downstream business Understanding ofstrategy and products Market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment) Advanced business administration competence Skills & Competencies Market knowledge of Logistics industry. Strong Selling and communication skills Should be a team person with excellent interpersonal skills. Building new customer base
