Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with a strong track record of achieving aggressive revenue targets and building robust client relationships within corporate environments. The BDM will be critical in shaping our growth trajectory from the Navi Mumbai office.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales and Revenue Generation

Target Achievement:

Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Pipeline Management:

Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline across target industry segments (with a focus on Real Estate, Hospitality, Insurance, and Pharma).

End-to-End Sales Cycle:

Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation and initial contact to presentation, negotiation, contract signing, and post-sales handover.
2. Market Development and Strategy

Market Research:

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new growth areas, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the MMR.

Strategic Planning:

Formulate and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets and acquire high-value clients.

Cross-Selling/Up-Selling:

Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by introducing new services or solutions.
3. Relationship Management

Client Acquisition:

Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers (CXOs, Directors, Heads of Departments).

Networking:

Represent Mango Folks at industry events, seminars, and conferences to increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
4. Reporting and Administration

Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to accurately track all sales activities, pipeline stages, and forecasting. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for the leadership team.
Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in B2B or Corporate Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.

Sales Acumen:

Proven knowledge of effective sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Solution Selling) and exceptional negotiation and closing skills.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in local language (e.g., Marathi/Hindi) being an advantage.
Desired Background (Preferable)

Prior experience in sales within the following sectors is a significant advantage:

Real Estate



Hospitality (Hotels, MICE)



Insurance (Life/General)



Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare



Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and articulate complex product/service offerings. Strong professional network in the Navi Mumbai/MMR region.
