Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive significant growth in our offshore markets, specifically focusing on custom software design and mobile application development services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and closing deals with international clients who require bespoke technology solutions. This role is crucial for expanding our global footprint and will involve strategic planning, aggressive lead generation, and effective proposal management.

Key Responsibilities:



Market Research & Strategy:



Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, target industries, and emerging trends in offshore markets (e.g., North America, Europe, Australia, Middle East) for custom software and mobile app development. Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with company goals and revenue targets. Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to identify competitive advantages and potential areas for growth.

Lead Generation & Qualification:



Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new leads through various channels, including online bidding platforms, social media (LinkedIn Sales Navigator), industry events (virtual and physical), professional networks, and cold outreach. Engage with C-level executives, IT leaders, Product Owners, and other key decision-makers in target organizations. Understand client needs, pain points, and business objectives to determine how our custom software and mobile app solutions can add significant value.

Sales & Relationship Management:



Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing offshore clients. Conduct compelling presentations and demonstrations of our services, showcasing our capabilities in custom software design, mobile app development (iOS, Android, cross-platform), UI/UX, and emerging technologies. Prepare detailed and persuasive proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and cost estimations in collaboration with technical teams. Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring adherence to legal and company guidelines. Collaborate closely with the pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and project execution. Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the initial phases, ensuring a smooth transition to the project delivery team.

Reporting & Performance:



Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM). Prepare regular reports on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and progress towards quarterly and annual targets. Provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on market demands and client interactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Experience:



4-8 years of proven experience in Business Development or Sales, specifically within the ITES or IT services industry. Demonstrable track record of generating leads and closing deals for custom software development, web application development, or mobile application development services in offshore markets (e.g., US, UK, Europe, Australia). Experience working with online bidding platforms (e.g., Upwork, Freelancer, Toptal, Clutch) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a strong plus.

Technical Acumen:



Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and modern technology stacks. Familiarity with trends in mobile app development (iOS, Android, hybrid), cloud solutions, AI/ML, IoT, and other emerging technologies is highly desirable. Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and articulate them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Sales & Communication:



Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively to an international audience. Strong negotiation and closing skills with a solution-oriented approach. Excellent presentation skills, capable of delivering engaging and informative product/service pitches. Ability to build rapport and trust quickly with potential clients

Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities. Results-driven and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client satisfaction. Flexibility to work across different time zones to connect with international clients as required.

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
