Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven
Business Development Manager (BDM)
to lead our outreach and growth efforts. The BDM will be responsible for expanding the institute's market presence, building strong relationships with academic institutions, and driving enrollment for our BIM training programs. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, presentation skills, a flair for marketing, and a passion for engaging with students and educators.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Partnership Development
Identify, develop, and maintain
strategic partnerships
with universities, polytechnics, technical schools, and other educational institutions to integrate our BIM programs into their curriculum or offer co-branded training.
Develop and implement strategies to target
corporate clients
(AEC firms) for bespoke professional training and upskilling programs.
Generate new leads and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure.
2. Marketing & Outreach
Organize and conduct compelling
presentations, seminars, and workshops
both in-person and virtually for students, faculty, and industry professionals to showcase the value of BIM and our courses.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective
marketing materials
(brochures, presentations, digital content) tailored for academic and student audiences.
Represent the institute at industry conferences, career fairs, and educational events to enhance brand visibility.
3. Enrollment Management & Reporting
Counsel and guide prospective students on the benefits of BIM and the suitability of our courses for their career goals.
Develop and execute an annual business development plan with clear targets for student enrollment and partnership acquisition.
Monitor, analyze, and report on business development activities, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the
education/training sector
or the
AEC/BIM industry
.
Communication & Presentation:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
with the ability to convey complex technical concepts (like BIM) in an accessible and engaging manner. Must possess
strong presentation skills
and confidence in addressing large groups of students and high-level academics/executives.
Marketing Flair:
A natural aptitude for
relationship building
and creative marketing strategies focused on student and academic engagement.
Interpersonal Skills:
Proven ability to build rapport and establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Self-Motivation:
Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently to achieve aggressive growth targets.
Technical Familiarity (Advantageous):
A basic understanding of BIM software and the AEC industry workflow is a significant plus.
