Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong customer and channel relationships, and ensuring the overall success of the Electrolux retail showroom in Kochi. While employed under the Distributor, the BDM will represent the Electrolux brand, ensuring premium customer experience, consistent sales performance, and long-term market development in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
Achieve sales and revenue targets for the Kochi Electrolux showroom.
Identify and execute opportunities to increase retail footfall, conversions, and repeat business.
Develop relationship with builders, architects, interior designers, and corporate clients to expand business opportunities.
Distributor Business Development
Work closely with the Distributor's management team for daily operations.
Customer & Market Engagement
Deliver superior customer service and maintain Electrolux's premium brand experience at the store.
Conduct product demonstrations, campaigns, and local promotions to enhance customer engagement.
Build strong after-sales relationships and coordinate with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operations & Team Coordination
Coordinate with showroom sales staff to achieve daily/weekly sales objectives.
Ensure proper inventory management, display, and merchandising as per Electrolux guidelines.
Liaise with Electrolux's regional sales/marketing team for brand visibility and promotional campaigns.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities in Kerala.
Submit regular business reports and forecasts to Distributor management.
Recommend improvements for achieving sustainable growth.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
0-6 years of experience in retail sales/business development, preferably in
home appliances, consumer durables, or lifestyle brands
.
Strong local market knowledge of Kerala retail and customer behavior.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to meet sales targets and grow market presence.
Ability to work independently while aligning with Distributor and Electrolux objectives.
