Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding our customer base among airlines, MROs, and aviation service providers. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry understanding, a strong network within the aviation ecosystem, and proven experience in SaaS or aviation technology sales.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales targets across Asia Pacific Region (APAC) aviation markets.
Identify, engage, and acquire new clients -- including Airlines, MROs, Aviation Training Organizations, Airports and aviation support organizations.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and customer needs.
Lead the full sales cycle: lead generation, product demos, proposal submission, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers -- including operations heads, IT directors, procurement teams, and C-level executives.
Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, and customer success) to tailor offerings for regional requirements.
Represent the company at aviation expos, trade fairs, and industry networking events in the target regions.
Maintain an updated pipeline and provide accurate forecasts, reports, and business insights to senior management.
Ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and renewals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
3 to 4 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 2 years in aviation tech, SaaS, or MRO-related products/services.
Strong understanding of aviation operations, maintenance systems, and digital transformation in the aviation sector.
Experience handling business development in APAC Region.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency with CRM tools
Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.
Familiarity with aviation compliance and procurement processes will be an added advantage
