Job Description

School-based Business Development Manager (BDM) identifies new opportunities, generates leads, and builds strategic partnerships to increase enrolment, revenue, or brand visibility. Key responsibilities include outreach to prospective students and parents, creating and managing marketing campaigns, developing relationships with schools and community partners, and analysing market trends to inform strategies. The role requires strong communication, sales, and organizational skills, with a focus on achieving set targets.

Key responsibilities



Lead generation and sales: Develop and execute strategies to generate qualified leads through various channels, including events, digital marketing, and partnerships with other educational institutions.

Partnership development

: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as school counsellors, educational consultants, and corporate partners, to expand reach and opportunities.

Outreach and promotion

: Represent the school at events, deliver presentations, and conduct campus tours to attract prospective students and their families.

Digital marketing: Create and manage digital marketing campaigns, including social media and email marketing, to engage with potential students and drive online leads.

Relationship management

: Nurture relationships with prospects through a pipeline, guiding them through the admissions process and ensuring follow-up and support.

Market analysis

: Research and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and student feedback to inform strategy and improve performance.

Reporting:

Track and report on sales performance, lead generation metrics, and conversion rates to management.

Required skills and qualifications

Experience

: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, ideally within the education sector or ed-tech.

Education

: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Sales and negotiation

: Proven ability to close deals, meet targets, and negotiate effectively.

Communication

: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Organization

: Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and a complex sales pipeline.

Strategic thinking

: Ability to analyse data and develop strategic plans for growth.

Technical proficiency:

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
