Key Responsibilities:
- Market Opportunity Identification: Proactively research and identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and emerging market trends within the solar energy sector.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Generate high-quality leads through various channels, including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and digital platforms, and qualify them for potential business.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential clients (e., developers, corporations, government bodies, individuals).
- Proposal Development & Presentation: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and techno-commercial offers tailored to client needs, clearly articulating the value proposition of our solar solutions.
- Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable contracts and successfully close deals, adhering to company policies and profitability targets.
- Market Research & Analysis: Continuously monitor industry developments, competitor activities, policy changes, and technological advancements in the solar energy space to inform strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, project management, and finance teams to ensure seamless project delivery, technical feasibility, and accurate cost estimations.
- Reporting: Maintain a robust sales pipeline in CRM, prepare regular reports on sales activities, market intelligence, and forecasted revenue.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8 to 10 years of proven business development or sales experience specifically within the Solar Energy Industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of the solar energy ecosystem, including various technologies, market dynamics, policy frameworks, and regulatory environments in India.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully acquiring new business/projects in the solar sector.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and financial information clearly.
- Strong analytical skills for market research, lead qualification, and proposal development.
- Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and thrive in a target-driven environment.
