About the Role



Caldic India is seeking a high-impact

Business Development Sales professional

to drive growth of

customized ingredient blends

for food and nutrition manufacturers. This is an

individual contributor role

requiring a strong

hunting mindset

, technical understanding of food ingredients, and the ability to translate customer needs into differentiated ingredient solutions.



The role will focus on

Dairy, Bakery, Nutrition, and Beverage

segments, working closely with customers, application teams, and principals to create value-driven, customized solutions.

Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Sales



Proactively identify, develop, and close

new business opportunities

with food and nutrition manufacturers in India Drive sales of

customized ingredient blends and functional solutions

, not commodity ingredients Build and manage a strong

new-customer pipeline

, from lead generation through commercialization Own end-to-end account responsibility including prospecting, technical discussions, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure

Support with International Sales

as and when needed




Technical & Solution Selling



Understand customer formulations, processing challenges, and market objectives to propose

tailor-made ingredient solutions

Collaborate closely with

food technologists, application labs, and R&D teams

to develop and commercialize customized blends Conduct technical sales presentations, product trials, and customer visits Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams




Market & Customer Insights



Track market trends, regulatory developments, and customer innovation needs in dairy, bakery, nutrition, and beverages Provide feedback to internal teams on market gaps, innovation opportunities, and portfolio expansion Represent Caldic as a

trusted solution partner

New customer acquisition and gross profit growth Sales growth from customized blends and value-added solutions Conversion of development projects to commercial orders Pipeline value and win rate Customer engagement and new account development

Skills


Job Requirements


Education


Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Nutrition, or a related technical discipline





Experience


10+ years of experience

in

B2B ingredient sales or business development

Proven track record in selling

ingredient solutions, blends, or functional systems

to food manufacturers Hands-on exposure to

dairy, bakery, nutrition, and/or beverage

applications Experience working with

technical, R&D-driven sales cycles





Skills & Competencies


Strong

with the ability to open doors and create opportunities High level of

technical credibility

with customers Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Comfortable with travel as required
