The VP of Business Development is a senior executive responsible for defining and executing the company's growth strategy across software products and markets. This role drives enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and long-term revenue scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the company's global business development strategy for software offerings
Onboard new Logo, GCC setup, client management and service portfolio.
Diversify IT service portfolio, AMC execution, Resourcing, strategic partnership
Drive enterprise-level sales, strategic accounts, and high-value partnerships
Identify new markets, verticals, and product-market opportunities
Lead and mentor Directors, Managers, and senior BDM professionals
Oversee complex deal negotiations, pricing strategy, and contract approvals
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align roadmap with market demand
Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and technology partnerships
Represent the company with investors, key clients, and industry stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
12-15+ years of experience in software sales or business development
Proven success scaling SaaS or enterprise software revenue
Experience managing multi-region or global sales teams
Strong understanding of software economics, pricing models, and ARR growth
