Business Development Manager (bdm)

Job Description

Develop and implement business development strategies to grow company sales and market share in the steel industry. Identify, research, and approach potential clients and build long-term relationships. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and other contract details with clients. Respond to RFQs (Request for Quotations) and tenders, and follow up to secure orders. Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, finance) to ensure seamless order delivery and customer satisfaction. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and business development KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience



Education

: Graduate (Bachelor's degree) in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

: Minimum

10+ years

of experience in the

steel industry

(business development or sales).

Industry Knowledge

: Strong understanding of steel products, manufacturing processes, and steel market dynamics.

Communication Skills

: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present and negotiate effectively.

Personality

: Confident, professional, and personable; able to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
