The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding market presence, developing client relationships, and increasing revenue for the pharmaceutical portfolio. The role includes strategic planning, market expansion, and coordination with internal teams to achieve sales targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Growth
Identify and develop
new business opportunities
for pharma products (formulations / API / PCD / institutional).
Expand
domestic and/or international markets
through distributors, channel partners, and key accounts.
Achieve
monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
.
Develop and execute
business growth strategies
aligned with company goals.
Client & Partner Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with
distributors, stockists, hospitals, clinics, and key customers
.
Appoint and manage
PCD / franchise partners
(if applicable).
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and agreements.
Ensure timely collection and healthy account management.
Market Research & Product Promotion
Conduct
market research
to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Launch and promote
new products
in coordination with marketing and regulatory teams.
Provide market feedback to product, marketing, and management teams.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with
production, supply chain, marketing, and regulatory
teams for order fulfillment.
Prepare
sales forecasts, MIS reports, and performance updates
.
Track customer feedback and resolve issues promptly.
Team & Strategy Support
Support training of sales executives and channel partners.
Participate in strategic planning, pricing decisions, and promotional campaigns.
Represent the company at
trade shows, conferences, and business meetings
.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBA (Marketing preferred) or equivalent.
Experience:
4-10 years of experience in
pharmaceutical sales / business development
.
Industry Preference:
Pharma formulations, API, PCD, institutional, or export business.
