who can confidently convert opportunities into business and contribute to building a strong revenue pipeline.
Role Overview:
As a
Business Development Specialist
, your primary responsibility is to
convert inbound leads into business
and actively assist in
generating new leads
through multiple channels.
This role requires someone who understands
service-based selling
, can engage founders and business owners effectively, and is comfortable closing deals across
tech and digital services
.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Conversion & Sales Closure
Engage with inbound leads from marketing, events, partnerships, and referrals
Understand client requirements and pain points clearly
Pitch Startup Builder's services and solutions confidently
Prepare, explain, and negotiate proposals
Follow up consistently and
convert leads into paid engagements
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
New Lead Generation Support
Actively contribute to
new lead generation
through:
LinkedIn outreach
Cold / warm calling
WhatsApp and email follow-ups
Networking events and ecosystem connects
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
Coordination & Execution Support
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for scope clarification
Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery teams
Maintain CRM updates and lead status tracking
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong experience in
selling services
, not products
Proven ability to
convert leads into business
Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
Ability to understand and sell:
Tech / IT services
Digital marketing & branding solutions
Consulting or execution-based offerings
Comfortable speaking with founders, CXOs, and MSME owners
Preferred Candidate Profile
Prior experience in:
IT service-based companies
Digital marketing or creative agencies
Tech consultancies or SaaS service firms
Experience in handling
inbound + outbound sales
Familiarity with proposal tools (PPT, Canva, Google Slides)
Basic CRM knowledge (Zoho, HubSpot, or similar)
