Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, generating leads, converting prospects into customers, and expanding the company's presence across sectors, territories, and key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead generation through market research, referrals, industry networks, and existing contacts.
Contacting prospective customers via calls, emails, and meetings.
Visiting customers and prospects as required to understand technical and commercial requirements.
Preparing and sharing quotations in coordination with internal technical and operations teams.
Following up on quotations and converting them into confirmed orders.
Identifying and developing new opportunities across industries, applications, sectors, and territories.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers.
Tracking market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support business growth.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
3-8 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in special steels, metals, or B2B manufacturing.
Exposure to industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Power, Oil & Gas, or Medical is an advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into commercial proposals.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and willing to travel for customer visits.
