Job Description

The Business Development Manager will drive sales growth, expand the customer base, and strengthen the market presence for corrugated boxes and packaging solutions. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong customer relationship skills, and the ability to identify new business opportunities in manufacturing, FMCG, automotive, engineering, e-commerce, and related sectors across Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Key Responsibilities



1. Sales & Revenue Growth



Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for corrugated packaging products. Identify and develop new business opportunities within target industries. Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and presentations to potential clients.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management



Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and decision-makers. Conduct regular client visits to understand requirements, negotiate pricing, and close deals. Handle customer inquiries, provide technical support in coordination with production teams, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

3. Market & Competitor Analysis



Monitor trends in the corrugation and packaging industry in the Pune region. Study competitor pricing, product offerings, and market strategies to stay competitive. Identify emerging sectors and opportunities for product diversification.

4. Coordination with Internal Teams



Work closely with production, design, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely order execution. Provide accurate forecasts and order requirements to the production planning team. Ensure product quality and delivery timelines are adhered to as per client expectations.

5. Reporting & Documentation



Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, negotiations, and sales pipelines. Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, MIS, and market feedback reports. Track receivables and support finance in payment follow-ups.

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of corrugated boxes, packaging materials, and printing processes (3-ply/5-ply/7-ply, die-cutting, lamination, etc.). Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong networking ability with industrial customers across Pune , Maharashtra and Gujarat. Ability to work independently with a goal-oriented mindset. Problem-solving attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree (preferably in Marketing, Business, Packaging Technology, or Engineering).

10+ years of experience

in sales/business development in the corrugation or packaging industry. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Experience dealing with industrial clients such as automotive, engineering, FMCG, pharma, appliances, or e-commerce companies.
