The Business Development Manager (BDM)

will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding the customer base, and strengthening channel relationships of

Polycab India Ltd.

's range of

wires, cables, and electrical products

. As an

Authorized Distributor of Polycab

, the role focuses on developing business with OEMs, Contractors, Builders, Architects, and Developers, while ensuring effective market penetration, distributor-led growth, and alignment with Polycab's brand guidelines and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities



Sales & Revenue Growth:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales target in the assigned territory.

Distribution Expansion:

Develop and manage networks of OEMs, Contractors, Builders & Architects.

Market Development:

Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and demand forecasting to identify growth opportunities.

Promotional Activities:

Plan and execute local promotional campaigns, product demos, trade meets, and brand visibility initiatives.

Collections & Credit Control:

Ensure timely payment collection and adherence to company credit policies.

Coordination with Internal Teams:

Work closely with supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth operations and customer service.

Reporting & MIS:

Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports, market feedback, and competitor intelligence.

Key Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of electrical distribution business, preferably in wires, cables, or electrical goods. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple channel partners effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting.

Qualification & Experience



Education:

Graduate in Electrical Engineering or MBA in Marketing/Sales (preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in channel/distribution sales in the electrical industry.

Experience with brands like

Polycab, Finolex, Havells, RR Kabel, Anchor, or KEI

will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
