Internship Overview
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious final-year college student for a Business Development Internship. This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the commercial heart of the clinical research industry. You will learn how a CRO identifies and engages potential clients, builds relationships, and contributes to global medical advancements. This internship is ideal for someone looking to launch a career in pharmaceutical sales, business development, or marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Under the mentorship of our Business Development team, you will:
Market Research & Intelligence:
Conduct research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients in the pharma and biotech sectors.
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Use tools like LinkedIn, clinical trial databases, and industry news to build and qualify lists of potential leads.
Client Profile Development:
Assist in creating profiles and briefing documents for key decision-makers at target companies.
Sales Support & Outreach:
Help prepare materials for client meetings, including presentations, proposals, and capability decks.
CRM Management:
Learn to use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track interactions, update lead status, and support the sales pipeline.
Industry Monitoring:
Track and report on industry trends, competitor activities, and upcoming clinical trials to identify new business avenues.
Strategy Contribution:
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and business development strategies.
Who We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
Currently in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
A strong interest in pursuing a career in
business development, sales, or marketing within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
A proactive, "hunter" mentality, eager to learn about sales processes and client engagement.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
