A Business Development Manager for a footwear brand focusing on offline growth drives expansion of the retail footprint, franchise partnerships, and strong in-store performance, ensuring the brand's success beyond digital channels.

Business Development Manager - Offline Retail (Footwear)

Key Responsibilities



Develop and execute strategies to expand the brand's offline presence through exclusive stores, shop-in-shops, franchise networks, and multi-brand retail partnerships. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new retail partners, franchisees, and distributors to penetrate new regions and strengthen existing markets. Lead location scouting, network expansion, and negotiation of commercial terms, rental agreements, and store opening plans. Drive retail sales performance by implementing strong visual merchandising, in-store activation, and point-of-sale marketing programs. Build and maintain productive relationships with channel partners, store staff, landlords, and other key external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, promotional effectiveness, and consistent brand experience offline. Track, analyze, and report on offline sales performance, footfall, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic action. Train and support franchisee teams and retail staff, fostering high standards for customer service and product knowledge. Represent the brand at industry events and networking opportunities to further business growth and brand visibility.

Required Qualifications and Skills



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or equivalent; MBA preferred. 5+ years' experience in business development, retail expansion, or sales in footwear, fashion, or FMCG sectors. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and establish successful franchise/retail networks. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills, with a network of retail/market contacts. Willingness to travel extensively and manage business relationships across multiple geographies. Proficiency with CRM, sales reporting and data analytics. This role is central to driving offline market leadership, ensuring long-term growth, and delivering exceptional brand experiences at all touchpoints in the physical retail space.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,500,000.00 per year
