About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive with strong exposure to SMT line manufacturing and PCBA services to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, engaging with OEMs and product companies, understanding technical requirements, and converting RFQs into long-term manufacturing partnerships.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of PCBA processes, SMT capabilities, components, and manufacturing constraints, along with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify and develop new business opportunities for SMT assembly and PCBA manufacturing services
Prospect and engage with OEMs, startups, system integrators, and product companies
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through calls, meetings, events, and referrals
2. RFQ & Customer Engagement
Receive, understand, and respond to RFQs for PCBA and SMT assembly
Coordinate with engineering, sourcing, and production teams to prepare cost estimates and proposals
Clarify BOMs, Gerbers, volumes, quality standards, and delivery requirements with customers
3. Technical & Commercial Coordination
Act as the interface between customers and internal teams for DFM, costing, lead time, and feasibility discussions
Support pricing strategy, negotiation, and contract finalization
Ensure smooth transition from order confirmation to production handover
4. Account Management
Manage key customer accounts and ensure repeat business
Track ongoing projects, forecast demand, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely communication and issue resolution
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor market trends in EMS, SMT, PCBA, components, and electronics manufacturing
Identify target industries such as industrial electronics, automotive, IoT, medical, consumer, power electronics, and telecom
Provide inputs to management on capacity utilization, pricing trends, and customer requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Understanding
Working knowledge of SMT processes, PCBA manufacturing, and EMS workflows
Understanding of BOMs, PCB fabrication, assembly, testing, and quality standards
Familiarity with low-volume, mid-volume, and high-mix manufacturing environments
Sales & Business Skills
Proven experience in B2B sales or business development within electronics manufacturing
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to engage with engineering teams, procurement, and CXO-level stakeholders
Tools & Reporting
Experience with CRM tools, Excel, and sales reporting
Ability to prepare proposals, presentations, and basic cost comparisons
Who Should Apply

Have 2-5 years of experience in EMS / PCBA / SMT business development or sales
Understand how SMT lines operate and how PCBA costing works
Are comfortable discussing technical and commercial topics with customers
Are target-driven, proactive, and capable of closing deals
Can work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams
Preferred Experience (Added Advantage)
Experience selling SMT assembly, box build, testing, or turnkey PCBA solutions
Exposure to Indian and global EMS customers
Existing customer or industry contacts in electronics manufacturing
