We are looking for a driven and technically sound Business Development professional to lead and grow the TS Conductor business in India and assist CEO India. The candidate will work closely with utility companies, EPC contractors, consultants, and government authorities to position TS Conductor as the leading high-performance conductor technology for transmission and distribution networks.
Essential Functions:
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in the power transmission and distribution sector across India. Gather market intelligence
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), state utilities, private developers, and engineering consultants.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and commercial bids highlighting TS Conductor's key differentiators (e.g., higher ampacity, reduced sag, corrosion resistance).
Monitor and influence policy-level developments with regulatory bodies such as CEA (Central Electricity Authority), BIS, and Ministry of Power.
Conduct competitor analysis and gather market intelligence to support strategic positioning.
Collaborate with the technical and marketing teams to develop India-specific content and collaterals.
Drive pilot project engagements, field trials, and techno-commercial evaluations.
Participate in industry events, tenders, and pre-bid meetings to promote TS Conductor adoption.
Track project pipelines, follow up with prospective clients, and provide regular reports on opportunity status.
Finalize the identification and on-boarding of stranding partners in key states.
Coordinate with stranding partners for product integration, delivery timelines, and technical compliance.
Manage import-related formalities, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with Indian regulations.
Hands-on experience with local Tax structure and understanding of Indian logistics/law frameworks related to imports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical / Power Systems; MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience in the power T&D or cable/conductor sector in a sales or BD role.
Strong understanding of Indian utility procurement systems and regulatory processes.
Demonstrated success in selling high-technology or engineered products.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital BD platforms.
Willingness to travel across India for business development activities.
Preferred Experience:

Exposure to composite core conductors or advanced conductor technologies
Experience working with HTLS conductor manufacturing companies or selling to PGCIL, NTPC, SEBs, or large EPCs (e.g., L&T, KEC, Kalpataru)
Familiarity with IEC/IS standards and utility evaluation methodologies.
India (preferably Delhi NCR / Mumbai)
