. This individual will identify and develop new business opportunities, build strong relationships with renewable energy developers and EPCs, and drive revenue growth by positioning our transformer solutions as essential infrastructure for clean energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:1. Market Development
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities in solar, wind, hydro, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) segments.
Track trends and government policies influencing renewable infrastructure and energy grid modernization.
2. Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute business development plans to achieve sales targets.
Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, cold outreach, and digital campaigns.
Prepare commercial proposals, RFQs, and tender responses in coordination with engineering and commercial teams.
3. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with renewable energy developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and government agencies.
Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal engineering/product teams.
4. Partnership & Channel Development
Identify and establish strategic partnerships with OEMs, inverter suppliers, and distributors.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and renewable energy expos.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work with R&D and product teams to feedback customer needs and market demands.
Coordinate with supply chain and operations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
Experience:
5+ years in B2B sales or business development in the power or renewable energy sector.
Prior experience with
power transformers
,
inverter duty transformers
, or
distribution transformers
is mandatory.
Proven track record of closing deals and developing strategic accounts.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind, hybrid, BESS)
Understanding of technical specifications and compliance standards (IEC, ANSI, UL)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
Self-motivated, with a hunter mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with SCADA, smart grid, or digital transformer solutions
Multilingual proficiency ( depending on region)
