Role Description



This is a full-time on-site role as a Business Development Officer in Chennai. Candidates must be located in or willing to travel within Chennai. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales growth.

You will:



Identify and assess potential clients, industry trends, and competitor activities.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships by effectively communicating technical product/service benefits.

Conduct lead generation activities, converting cold calls into qualified leads.

Collaborate with sales teams to ensure smooth transitions and customer engagement.

Schedule and conduct monthly meetings with clients to identify business growth opportunities.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Follow up on customer orders, maintain order accuracy, and manage contract renewals.

Work closely with production, purchase, and customer service teams to confirm order feasibility.

Partner with the NPD team for new product implementation.

Act as a liaison between clients and the technical team for project communication.

Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with client requirements.

You have:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects.

Willingness to travel within Chennai for business needs.
