Job Summary:
The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the
solar energy
and
ELV (Extra Low Voltage)
system sectors. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge and business development skills to engage clients, prepare proposals, and support project execution from concept to completion. The ideal candidate must be proactive, technically sound, and capable of field-based client interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in
solar installation
and
ELV system projects
(CCTV, access control, networking, etc.).
Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and feasibility studies in coordination with the engineering team.
Prepare and submit
technical and commercial proposals
, quotations, and BOQs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors.
Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets and support the company's revenue objectives.
Liaise with internal design and project teams to ensure smooth project handover and execution.
Prepare marketing materials, client presentations, and participate in exhibitions and trade fairs.
Track and report market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in
business development or technical sales
within the
solar or ELV industry
.
Technical Skills:
Good understanding of
solar PV systems
(on-grid/off-grid/hybrid).
Knowledge of
ELV systems
(CCTV, fire alarm, access control, structured cabling, etc.).
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office tools; working knowledge of AutoCAD / PVsyst is an advantage.
Ability to work independently with a results-driven approach.
Valid driving license is mandatory.
