Hunt, pitch, and close high-potential eCommerce and brand clients--leveraging our creative expertise, Shopify knowledge, and customer-centric approach to convert prospects into long-term agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Strategic Prospecting & Outreach (30%)
Identify and research high-potential DTC and eCommerce brands (Shopify-based and beyond).
Build and manage outreach lists of decision-makers (e.g., CMOs, eCommerce Directors, Founders).
Leverage existing networks and warm leads through partnerships and referrals.
Use platforms like LinkedIn, industry directories, and Shopify partner communities to uncover leads.

. Consultative Sales & Client Enablement (40%)
Lead discovery calls and product-fit consultations tailored to the client's platform (e.g., Shopify, Shopify Plus).
Present our creative work and service offerings in a way that aligns with client pain points (e.g., "We helped a Shopify brand increase AOV by 22% through UX redesign").
Collaborate with technical/creative teams to scope client needs.
Build trust with clear communication, proactive issue-solving, and an empathetic approach.
Close deals with appropriate pricing strategies--retainers, projects, or hybrid models.
3. Client Relationship Management & Support (20%)
Serve as the bridge between client and internal teams during onboarding and beyond.
Ensure client success post-sale, providing Shopify-related guidance where needed (apps, integrations, UX, etc.).
Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on client performance or platform evolution.
4. CRM & Pipeline Operations (10%)
Track all outreach, meetings, and opportunities in HubSpot (or similar CRM).
Maintain clear notes, timelines, and next steps for all accounts.
Collaborate with leadership to forecast sales and refine strategy based on feedback loops.
Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience
3-5 years in business development, client services, or customer success at a marketing agency or eCommerce service provider.
Hands-on experience with Shopify or working with Shopify merchants is a strong plus.
Skills
Portfolio storytelling and pitch presentation (verbal and visual).
Strong grasp of customer success, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Familiarity with eCommerce KPIs (AOV, ROAS, CAC, LTV, Conversion Rate).
Shopify ecosystem knowledge (themes, apps, checkout flows, etc.).
