About Nav-Tarang Social Organization

We are a social group aimed at addressing the gap between education and empowerment, especially for young girls in underserved communities in India. We believe basic education alone is not enough for the upliftment of young underprivileged girls, who are brought up in communities that still believe marriage and not financial independence is the most integral part of a girl\'s life.

"Nav-Tarang" means a new wave. Our organization, through its programs, aims to bring a new wave of inspiration for young girls and provide them with hand-holding through their path to becoming independent both emotionally and financially. We intend to challenge oppressive norms and conduct programs for young girls to increase their self-esteem and to build leadership in these girls to live a life of dignity.

Selected intern\'s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct sessions and events in the engaged government schools
2. Engage new schools and encourage more underprivileged students to attend our sessions and events
3. Take full ownership of an event to get the experience of managing end to end
