Job Description

Job Purpose




Business Continuity Management Office is part of Integrated Risk Management department of the Bank. This is an important role as it supports the Bank//'s requirement for maintaining a holistic BCM program to minimize/mitigate availability risks and ensure continuity of its services in line with applicable regulations and standards. The incumbent needs to ensure alignment and integration across business, operations and enabling functions, through a robust BCM program, as follows:


o Provide guidance on conducting Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Recovery Strategy, Business Continuity Planning, Testing and Exercises.
o Review and analyze internal / external dependencies and threats in collaboration with the relevant functions to determine adequate recovery responses for critical business services.
o Work with business, operations and support teams to ensure necessary Crisis management and business continuity arrangements are in place.
o Optimize BCM knowledge and awareness through regular training and awareness campaigns. Participate and provide oversight of the performance of Bank//'s BCM program in Steering /Board Committee meetings.


Job Responsibilities

BCM Governance


o Implement and maintain Bank//'s BCM Program and Framework encompassing aspects of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management and Vendor Resilience.
o Connect with industry forums and local/regional emergency response authorities, to share industry best practices with senior leadership.

BCM Implementation


Develop BCP Program calendar for Functional Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, testing , training and awareness.
o Develop and conduct walkthrough, training and awareness programs on Business Continuity Management Process covering all relevant stakeholders.
o Liaise with Business Continuity Coordinators to develop adequate business continuity plans through effective working relationships.
IT Disaster Recovery Governance
o Aide application teams to conduct application BIA. Assess application BIAs for criticality rating appropriateness.
o Work closely with IT to oversee DR provisioning and DR testing of critical applications.
o Perform application cut-off report reviews.
Crisis Management
o Implement and maintain Crisis Management Plan
o Lead incident response and support stakeholders in managing crisis.
Vendor Resilience
o Support business, operations teams in Vendor BCP Program implementation.
o Evaluate adequacy of Vendor BCP
BCM Program Compliance
o Provide inputs to Unit Head on the performance of Bank//'s BCM program.
o Ensure compliance to all management and regulatory reporting requirements.
o Support BCM audit requirements (ISO22301, Regulatory, Statutory, etc.)


Educational Qualifications
o Graduate with 6 -10 years of work experience in relevant domains.
o BCM certifications e.g., ISO22301 LI/LA, CBCP, CBCI, etc. will be an added advantage.
Key Skills
o Candidates with BFSI experience will be preferred.
o Self-starter, willingness to deal with complex situations.
o Strong inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management and collaborate with other functions.
o Good presentation and reporting skills.
o Sound knowledge of industry best practices and popular frameworks.


Major Stakeholders
1. Internal: Business and support Functions, and Senior Management.
2. External: Regulators, Third-Party Auditors, Vendors and Partners.
