Summary: As a Business Architect, you will identify opportunities to deliver tangible business value by assessing the current state, capturing high-level requirements, and defining business solutions. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions and operating models, while supporting transformation initiatives through the development of business cases and guiding their implementation. Roles & Responsibilities: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyse, and document business requirements. - Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Collaborate with architects and developers on API design, versioning, and governance ensuring alignment with business processes and regulatory requirements. - Drive and support API lifecycle management - including design, change management, testing, run, and deprecation/versioning. - Create and maintain process flows, use cases, and data mapping documents relevant to insurance operations (Policy Admin, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, etc.). - Ensure solutions comply with insurance regulatory standards, data security, and compliance guidelines. - Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and backlog grooming sessions with cross-functional teams. - Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring clarity and alignment of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle. - Support UAT by preparing test cases, reviewing results, and ensuring solutions meet acceptance criteria. - Continuously monitor and identify process improvement opportunities across insurance applications and API integrations. Professional & Technical Skills: - Domain Knowledge: Strong experience in the Insurance domain (Life/Health/General/Commercial) with knowledge of core insurance processes. - API Expertise: Proven experience in working with REST/SOAP APIs, API documentation (Swagger/Postman), API lifecycle management (design, change, run, versioning, retirement). - BA Skills: Strong in requirement elicitation, documentation (BRD, FRD, User Stories), process modelling, data analysis, and stakeholder management. - Technical Skills: Good understanding of JSON, XML, integration patterns, and ability to work with technical teams on APIs. - Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Postman/Swagger, Visio/Lucidchart (or similar). - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working with DevOps pipelines. - Familiarity with policy admin systems, claims systems, or core insurance platforms. - Certifications like CBAP, CSM, or Insurance-related certifications (LOMA, AINS, CPCU, etc.). Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Business Requirements Analysis. - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
