We're looking for a

Business & Data Analyst

who can bridge the gap between

business strategy and technical execution

--someone who loves data, understands business logic, and can collaborate with engineers to turn information into action.

Role Overview

As a

Business & Data Analyst

, you'll work at the intersection of

data, product, and business

. You'll identify data requirements, work with data engineers and scrapers to locate reliable sources, and turn unstructured information into structured insights.

You'll also define business requirements and support decision-making through

clear reporting, dashboards, and analytical storytelling

.

Key Responsibilities

Understand business goals and translate them into

data requirements and measurable KPIs

. Curate what is available in the market and define actual business needs based on

product requirements

. Collaborate with

data engineers, data scrapers, and developers

to identify, collect, and organize the right datasets. Analyze data to generate

business insights, patterns, and trends

. Design and maintain

structured data models

, ensuring data consistency and usability. Prepare

data documentation, dictionaries, and mapping sheets

for internal use. Build and maintain

dashboards and reports

to track business and operational performance. Work with stakeholders to define and refine

business requirements

for data products and automation tools. Help validate

scraped or processed data

to ensure accuracy and quality. Communicate findings clearly through

visualizations, reports, and presentations

that influence decisions. Apply strong business logic and data interpretation skills to

connect insights across products

Requirements

1.5-3 years

of experience as a

Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or a hybrid of both

. Strong understanding of

data collection, cleaning, structuring, and analysis workflows

. Ability to write clear

Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)

and

Data Requirement Documents (DRDs)

. Proficiency in

SQL, Excel/Google Sheets

, and at least one data visualization tool (

Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio

, or similar). Good understanding of

APIs, web data sources, and basic data pipelines

. Familiarity with data formats (

CSV, JSON, XML

) and working with structured and unstructured data. Strong analytical mindset with excellent

problem-solving and communication skills

. Experience working in

fast-paced, cross-functional startup environments

.

Good to Have

Experience working with

data engineers or scrapers

to define extraction requirements. Knowledge of

Python

(Pandas, NumPy) for quick data exploration. Familiarity with

ETL processes

and data warehousing concepts. Understanding of

business analytics, KPIs, and metric design

. Exposure to

automation or AI-driven analytics tools

.
