Role Overview



The Senior Business Analyst will be part of the ESG Assurance Practice, supporting end-to-end ESG assurance engagements. The role involves preparing templates, collecting and analyzing ESG data, understanding client processes, performing assurance procedures, and contributing to high-quality reports. As ESG standards and regulations continue to evolve, this role requires strong analytical ability, structured thinking, and a commitment to continuous learning.



Key Responsibilities



1. ESG Assurance



Engage with client teams to understand their ESG data structures, frameworks, and internal controls.

Develop structured data collection formats for ESG KPIs.

Coordinate with multiple client departments for data collection and tracking of ESG KPIs.

Conduct verification procedures such as vouching, sampling, reconciliations, and analytical reviews.

Perform assurance procedures to support final assurance conclusions.

Prepare ESG assurance documentation, including working papers and final deliverables.



2. Process Design & Optimization



Design information flows and data templates aligned with reporting and assurance standards.

Maintain a repository of standard templates, client ESG datasets, and related documentation for scalable delivery.

Conduct market, regulatory, and strategic research and prepare insights on emerging ESG trends and best practices.



Candidate Requirements



1-2 years of experience in Audit & Assurance, ESG, or Sustainability Reporting.

Prior experience in ESG Assurance is preferred.

CA / ACCA / bachelor's degree in Sustainability or related field / MBA (Tier-1).

Working knowledge of ESG Standards, BRSR, GRI, Integrated Reporting (IR), TCFD, with a strong willingness to learn emerging frameworks.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent analytical ability.

Process-driven mindset, with the ability to design structured and scalable workflows.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience handling large datasets.

Willingness to travel to client locations across India.
