The role of the Business Value Analyst is an exciting and transformational role that will be a key member of the Value Engineering and Business Innovation team supporting Visa's Value Added Services (VAS) global sales organization. A typical day in the life includes supporting sales opportunities and partnering with customers in an advisory manner by focusing on creating data-driven insights that result in quantifiable business value and investment analysis for developing a business case for Visa's solutions. This will be a critical function that will enable sales teams to diversify streams of revenue, increase deal velocity, and deepen client relationships. This is a great opportunity to support various aspects of the business requiring both highly analytical skills leveraging multiple data sources as well as supporting various ad hoc projects aligned to the team's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to help facilitate deal-level sales strategies, value hypothesis, and business value/pricing assessments
  • Become a subject matter expert on where and how to access valuable data at Visa
  • Model financial implications for Visa's VAS product offerings/sales solutions & integrate findings into internal sales tools used to develop both internal and client-facing proposal artifacts
  • Develop data tactics & analytical tools to derive business insights to support client pursuits and drive broad sales adoption of Visa's sales methodology
  • Working collaboratively with peers to support the global org, document best practices, conduct research, and constantly look for ways to improve the operating model
  • Partner with our product management team to optimize ROI/TCO templates & deal structuring models used to facilitate client-facing discussions
  • Support the leadership team in various ad hoc projects aligned to deal velocity, commercial strategies, sales playbooks, and standardizing policies/procedures
  • Interface with key stakeholders such as Global Sales, Sales Strategy and Acceleration, Finance, Commercials Sales Operations, and Deal Management Teams
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Quantitative mindset and analytic capabilities, with a passion for problem solving and pragmatic application
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization with the ability to navigate complex structures
  • Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness
  • Proven ability to support corporate data research and analytics
  • Financial acumen-ability to utilize sophisticated financial analysis to evaluate business opportunities and make strategic recommendations
  • Experience supporting a B2B selling environment-preferably technology related
  • Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics experience seen as a plus
  • Proficient with Tableau & other business intelligence tools
  • Industry knowledge and experience with Visa products seen a plus

Travel Requirements:
Travel as needed by the business up to 5% of the time.
